Multi-Camera Teleprompter Video Production Setup for Uplimit in San Francisco

Uplimit needed a professional video production setup for a scripted on-camera recording in San Francisco. The project required a clean, controlled filming environment in which the speaker could deliver a prepared script naturally while the production team captured strong visuals and clear audio.

For edtech companies, online course platforms, corporate learning teams, SaaS training teams, and executive communications teams, scripted video production needs more than a camera and a room. The speaker needs to feel prepared, the script needs to be easy to deliver, and the final footage needs to look consistent, clear, and professional.

One of the first production needs was location support. Bidar Video helped the client find a rental space suitable for the shoot, ensuring the room could accommodate camera placement, lighting, audio recording, and a focused on-camera setup. DesignMap Studio at 917 Bryant Street in San Francisco provided a practical environment for the production.

The setup included two Sony FX6 cinema cameras to provide the final edit with greater flexibility, consistency, and visual variety. We used a Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 lens for wider coverage and a Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 lens for tighter angles, allowing the client to receive multiple clean perspectives from the same scripted delivery.

A multi-camera setup is especially useful for scripted videos because it allows the editor to move between angles, maintain pacing, and create a more polished final result without making the video feel static.

A 12.6-inch teleprompter was used so the speaker could deliver the prepared script directly to camera. The teleprompter included voice-activated scrolling and remote-control operation, giving the speaker and production team more flexibility during the recording. For course videos, training modules, founder messages, and scripted thought-leadership content, a teleprompter can streamline production and reduce retakes.

The lighting setup was built around a standard three-point setup using Godox VL300 lights with large softboxes. This helped create a clean, professional look by shaping the subject, softening the light, separating the speaker from the background, and keeping the image consistent throughout the recording.

Audio was captured using both wireless lavalier microphones and a Sennheiser boom microphone. This gave the production clean primary audio and a strong backup audio option, which is important for scripted corporate video, online learning content, and any shoot where the spoken message is the main value of the video.

The final production setup gave Uplimit a controlled, professional filming environment for scripted video content.
